New research which will allow Scottish Parliament committees to keep up to date with EU legislative policy developments has been commissioned by Holyrood’s Constitution, Europe, External Affairs and Culture Committee.
The Cabinet Secretary has argued that the Bill is necessary because concerns about high remand levels, which pre-dated COVID. Indeed, he noted that they were highlighted in a report by our predecessor committee in 2018.

The final amendment, aligning the dates the that the requirements of the Bill would apply to school transport for primary and secondary pupils, was agreed to following a division.
