In summary, in terms of the initial reopening of the sector in 2020 following the first lockdown, an announcement from the Rural Economy and Tourism Cabinet Secretary (10 June) Fergus Ewing indicated some businesses (including bars and restaurants) should start to prepare for a provisional return to trading – with appropriate safety guidelines – on 15 July 2020.
