It was recently drawn to my attention that, because of the way in which our tax and economic regime works, it is relatively economically advantageous not to build buildings—particularly office blocks and temporary factories—with design lives of more than 15 to 25 years. I believe that that is extremely economically wasteful.

My information suggests that agriculture has been taking a declining percentage of that value chain.When I say that the chain could be shortened, I am even thinking of the number of trips that animals have to make during their lives. I believe that that number could be reduced.
