On 8 December 2022, the Auditor General for Scotland published the 2021/22 audit of the Crofting Commission.

The Dogs (Protection of Livestock) Act 1953 (as amended) sets out the offence of livestock "worrying": where a dog attacks or chases livestock in a way that could be reasonably expected to cause injury, suffering or reproductive issues, or is otherwise "at large" in a field or enclosure with sheep.
Part Four would provide for regulation-making powers, for the Bill to extend to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and for the dates from which parts of the Bill come into force.
