Monitoring and Transparency • The Committee should focus on how Local Authorities capture data in relation to SDS, are accountable for ensuring people are living good lives and the legislation is interpreted in the right way, and how funding is spent, because otherwise how can you promote good practice and ensure fairness is applied across all. 4 • The Committee should focus on social care capacity, workforce and structure because otherwise you will never have the staff to deliver the ethos of SDS. • The Committee should focus on regulation of social care providers because we need to ensure the right workforce is in place to deliver SDS.

Teacher Workforce Planning for Scotland's Schools - Attracting teachers and student teachers to particular areas
The evidence received by the Committee on the barriers for students, particularly mature students, moving area to teach highlights the geographically static nature of the workforce. Workforce planning processes need to be sufficiently sophisticated to take this into account.

Stage 1 report on the Agriculture and Rural Communities (Scotland) Bill - Need for greater detail in the Bill on the rural support plan
Rural development practitioners felt there needs to be ring-fenced funding for this element, and the funding should be longer-term;
How support will enable delivery of public goods as well as food production;
Co-operation and joint applications for support, as well as enabling interventions at scale; and
A consideration of the whole landscape and the need to integrate with other funding programmes, for example for forestry and conservation.
