Whilst recent house building statistics are below the projections of household formation, the Scottish Government has put in place significant support to stimulate housebuilding activity across all tenures, including the private market.
However, there have been five advisory letters issued and one verbal rebrief issued from the start of 2012 to date for infringements detected on board UK gillnetters. We are in active discussion with the gillnet fleet with a view to ensuring that future infringements do not occur.
Scottish Government officials have actively participated in the Collaborative Working Group between UK Plant Health Authorities and the UK Horticulture and Soft Fruit Industry.

To ask the Scottish Government what direction it gives to Transport Scotland about the active promotion and use of Gaelic. The Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005 enabled Bòrd na Gàidhlig (the Scottish Government’s principal Gaelic development body) to require public bodies to prepare Gaelic Language Plans.

To ask the Scottish Government how much funding it allocates to organisations involved in supporting physical activity for mental health patients. The Scottish Government sets national policy direction for mental health and provides funding to NHS boards and local authorities to support implementation of policy.
