It is under the risk-based approach that such things as growth promotors are used in US livestock. Whilst I do not anticipate the UK moving quickly to approve growth promotors, over time and with the roll out of international trade agreements with countries that do, it is hard to see how the UK risk-based approach can arrive at a different conclusion than that of the US.
