Between 2019 (125) and 2021 (233), there has been an overall increase of 86%.iUpdated data on the ‘Number of child (Under 18) patients admitted to a general/acute or mental health specialty, either as an inpatient or day case, with an eating disorder; by year of admission and NHS health board of patient residence, 2007 – 2021’ provided by Public Health Scotland (June 2022).
