Is that the case or is that just a fear for the future? I have not contacted that MSP, but I believe from press reports that he intends to reintroduce such a bill, although I know of no definite plans for that to be done.

The committee will be aware from its consideration of the existing Community Right to Buy (Definition of Excluded Land) (Scotland) Order 2004 (SSI 2004/296) that the order is a crucial part of the law on the community right to buy because it defines land that is excluded from being registered and, therefore, bought under the community right to buy.

If there were no problems with alcohol, that would not be a problem, but given the present level of consumption, should we not try to make it less convenient to buy alcohol? We should not make it less convenient to buy alcohol, but we need to ensure that people are not confused when they buy it and that alcohol is not targeted inappropriately at under-18s.
