Pre-budget scrutiny 2021-22 - Impact of Covid-19 on the Scottish Budget
Within this £204m relates to testing, £208m relates to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and £291m relates to NHS recovery. Other significant areas of additional funding are related to:
Local Government - £289m
Transport (entirely rail related) - £200m
Education - £38m
HM Treasury have indicated that this is the initial estimate of Covid-19 consequentials for Scotland based on a Barnett share of £31 billion of the Chancellor’s total £55 billion Covid-19 funding announcement for 2021-22.

Robust legislation must underpin the work that we do to tackle sectarianism in Scotland, which is why we introduced the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Bill in response to some of the ugly scenes that were witnessed earlier this year.Introducing the bill was the right action to take.
