A call for views was launched and was open between 10 October and 14 November 2025 using two complementary online platforms. A summary of responses was published1Scottish Parliament. (2025).
Almost 270 responses were submitted to the online consultation, and these were supplemented by 26 engagement events held across the South of Scotland area, organised and publicised by the Southern Uplands Partnership.

To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has examined the work of the Higashi school for autistic children in Boston, USA and, if so, whether it intends to make any changes to educational provision for autistic children in Scotland.
Americans welcome the fact that our new Scottish Parliament is actively involved in promoting those contacts through tartan day. We will be able to build on those contacts and I am especially pleased to hear that the United States consul is with us today.

I have had considerable contact with the commission: I sponsored one of its meetings in the Scottish Parliament building.
From my records, I know that I had a meeting with Bill Reeve at Transport Scotland 10 days or so before the announcement. That was the last contact that I had before the announcement.
We need to bring in drug and alcohol services, not simply make contact with those services a condition of probation, and ensure that the people turn up.
I make the general point that only on a few occasions has a Government sought to contact all the community councils in Scotland, even though they are statutory bodies.
