To support the sector at large to tailor its courses, the Scottish Funding Council has established a curriculum transformation framework that allows colleges to use their funding more flexibly to respond to local needs and demands.
Reform of the formal objection process should allow for more flexibility and efficiency. The overall package of reforms has the potential to produce better applications that are less likely to face objections from planning authorities.

To ask the Scottish Government what progress has been made in implementing recommendation 6 of the Independent Review of Audiology Services in Scotland (IRASS) report regarding the development of a robust workforce plan for audiology services.
It was suggested that investment is needed in place if Scotland is to continue to be marketed as a desirable destination. • Creative solutions & investment: There appeared to be consensus around the need for outdoor education and rangers but the perception from the public of who should pay for these services is contentious. The need for flexiblefunding and the potential for alternative funding through Windfarm Community Benefit Funds and Landscape Enterprise Networks for example, could relieve pressure on local authority funds and agencies’ budgets. • Suggestions for improvements to the North Coast 500: One participant argued that the North Coast 500 needs smaller campervan and motorhome stopovers and more chemical disposal points.
Additionally, Scottish Government has continued to provide funding for workforce lead posts in each Board to provide local leadership and expertise, in recognition of the importance of support being available to NHS Boards for staff at this time.
What proposed reforms will the Government seek to bring forward to support employers to develop part-time apprenticeship opportunities, especially given last year’s budget, in which the Scottish Government removed the flexibleworkforcedevelopmentfund, which provided £7 million for employers to develop such pathways?
