The difficulty for such critics is that the statistics that they use to try to debunk the £8.5 billion figure date from as far back as 2000, six years ago.
I am particularly pleased that a housing bill is to be brought forward at a later date, as both we and the SNP criticised the Executive for the absence of such a proposal in its legislative programme.
As Barbara Hurst said, "A Scottish prescription" is the second report that we published during the summer recess. We considered the arrangements that NHS boards and their operating divisions have in place to manage the use of medicines.
The issue has been on the table for a good number of months now and, as the summer recess is approaching, if we are to discuss the issue at the away day, it would be useful if members expressed their views now.
If we keep going with our report, we should be able to secure debating time for it before the summer recess. We should press for debating time for our climate change report, because the debate will flag up all the things that people out there will need to do to make climate change not happen or slow down.
Members will recall that the First Minister was asked about that in the final week before the recess. He was asked specifically whether the legal advice would be published and he said, "Maybe".
We do not yet have the report; I think that Mark Roberts has the job of producing a draft for us during the recess. However, a preliminary list of potential issues for inclusion in the report has been prepared.
Given that we will start our youth justice inquiry in June, I assume that we will come nowhere near finishing it before the summer recess. We may want to decide to commence the inquiry at the start of the new term rather than in June.
