Although I understand that we cannot stop the regulations going through today—I asked for advice on that—I wonder whether the committee is minded to follow up the concerns that some of us have raised, and perhaps to write again to the minister, Kate Forbes, for clarification about where the money will come from and whether the Scottish Government will press the UK Government for the extra funds. It is the UK Government that has raised the level of the pension contribution, so it should not be incumbent on the Scottish Government, which does not have that power, to make up the shortfall.
