The committee will write to the MEPs to get an up-to-date position on TTIP. We covered lots of topics with the MEPs at last week’s meeting, so we are writing to them on that point specifically.

You are offering continuation of the transport card until its expiry date—is that normally three years? Three years is a function of the time limits that are put on disability-linked cards.
At the moment, we are two years behind with the figures. Nothing is up to date. I agree. It would be useful for everyone concerned to be aware of the figures.
We lodged an amendment to allow for the extension of the offence to cover additional categories of hatred at a later date, to enable the issues to be considered following full consultation.
Amendment 58 inserts a requirement on the supervising engineer to include in any inspection recommendation a date for when the inspection should take place.
