The implementation plan for SNIB said: "To build on the success of existing operations and the clear alignment with the Bank’s agenda, the financing activities undertaken by and on behalf of the Scottish Government, such as Scottish Enterprise’s Scottish Investment Bank and the provision of funding for loan and equity finance schemes (for example, under the SME Holding Fund and the Scottish Growth Scheme) should sit within the Bank allowing the Bank to utilise the strengths and skills already developed and build on the positive foundations laid by the work of the Scottish Government and its agencies."
