The Scottish Government worked closely with the Scottish FA to allow the resumption of additional football activity earlier this month; including SPFL Leagues 1 and 2, SWPL1 and the Highland League clubs still in this season’s Scottish Cup.

To ask the Scottish Government what consideration it has given to the use of (a) health passports to verify COVID-19 vaccinations or recent negative tests and (b) mobilising mass COVID-19 testing to allow the safe return of spectators to football stadia. The Scottish Government is not currently considering ‘health passports’ to verify negative tests and vaccine, or mobilising mass testing to allow the safe return of spectators to football stadia.
The knowledge that that provision has not simply been parked in the long grass and will be looked at will help behaviours. No one around this table is here to defend poor behaviour by anyone.
