Now, with the restructuring of Lloyds-HBOS and the Royal Bank of Scotland, we are seeing a shakedown of the banking sector.We have taken a number of additional actions.

The information requested on bankruptciesregistered between 1999 and 2002 could only be obtained at a disproportionate costas the debtor’s age is held only on a case by case basis.The age of the debtoris not held for every case as it is not required for the Register of Insolvencies.Information is only recorded where the Accountant in Bankruptcy is the trustee andthe debtor has provided their date of birth. Partnerships and other unincorporated associations thatare registered bankrupt will not have an age classification.
One submission that we received suggests a problem with the date of elections. Legislation stipulates that elections must be held on the first Thursday in May, so the count and all the rest of the work often run into a bankholiday weekend.

Of the 69,882 quit attempts made in 2009, 26,485 were recorded as a successful quit at one month after the quit date'', up from 20,188 in 2008 (revised 2008 figures), a rise of 6,297 (or 31%).

Research specifically examining the appeal of mid-market rented property in the social rented sector has not been conducted by the Scottish Government to date. However, the current Communities Analytical Services business plan for 2010-11 includes a project on estimating demand for mid-market rent housing.

To ask the Scottish Executive whether it remains its intention to publish the final identity management and privacy principles in October 2010, as stated in a letter dated July 2010 from the Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth, and whether a date has been set.
