*S5M-05278 Miles Briggs: BBC s Minds Matter Season That the Parliament welcomes the ’ — BBC s Minds Matter, which is a season of films and programmes on mental health on TV, radio ’ and online; is aware that the series of thought provoking programmes aims to bring about conversations on mental health; is further aware that the season began with the first episode of the two-part documentary, Mind Over Marathon, which aired on BBC One, about a group of runners living with, or affected by, mental health conditions as they train for the London Marathon, and which includes a candid interview with HRH Prince William, who talks openly about how his mother s death has affected him; hopes that the season, which it considers is important and ’ informative, will encourage more people of all ages to talk about mental health, and considers that the media has an important role to play in raising awareness of mental health issues, reducing stigma and highlighting the services and support available for people experiencing mental ill health.
