The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (Incorporation) (Scotland) Bill - A timeline of children's rights legislation
Section 11 includes a power for the court to resolve disputes between parents about issues including where the child lives and with whom he or she has contact. The 1995 Act was groundbreaking in its day, aiming to embed the principles of UNCRC articles 1, 3, 5, 9, 12, 18 and 20 in domestic law.

As far as I can see, all the power is with the clubs and very little is with the children and young people. I have been contacted recently by parents of children who are caught in that bind, as clubs are holding on to the children when they are 15 and they do not know what to do.

Report on STEM in early years education - Collaboration between schools - working in clusters
Time constraints were also cited a number of times during discussions on cluster work. A need for more non-contact time was raised by a number of participants at the Committee's workshop as a means of freeing up teachers to undertake cluster work.
