I welcome that constructive suggestion, which is compatible with what we have been doing to date. I will explore it with some interest and will talk to the member directly about it.
(S3O-11444) The Scottish Government continues to be regularly and fully engaged with the banking sector on a range of issues. I understand that banks are fully committed to finding flexible solutions, an example of which is the agreement reached by a wide range of banks to enable their customers to pay money into and withdraw money from their bank account at their local post office.
Orkney Islands Council has done a great job in setting about offering ownership of a number of wind farms.Although the scale is big and we need private finance, is there a space where the Government, perhaps through the Scottish National Investment Bank, could support communities to own a piece of such developments?
Some of the common issues that the helpline encounters are: homelessness, people not being eligible for financial support, barriers to setting up bank accounts and applying for a care-experienced bursary, and not being entitled to council tax exemption.
