In comparison with the rest of the UK, the scheme in Scotland is good, because an apprenticeship comes with employed status—it is linked to a job—and the employers that buy into the scheme tend to be pretty committed to it.
In my area of the Highlands and Islands where community land buy-outs have taken place, community ownership is possible and many communities are considering it.
We need face-to-face training with the teachers, but we can use the funding for more online resources. Online resources will be an important part of this project.We can also be creative with European Union funding.

The Club is now updating its plans for all three sites with a view to being ready should suitable weather conditions return. EventScotland officials are in contact with the Royal Caledonian Curling Club and are able to provide advice if necessary.
