Reporting and Monitoring
The Bill would place a duty on Public Health Scotland (PHS) to submit a report to Scottish Ministers on the provision of assisted dying in Scotland.
On the other hand, they are seen by some as vital pillars of our criminal justice system – especially corroboration and the use of juries.
The Criminal Justice (Scotland) Bill (introduced 2013) included provisions seeking to abolish the general requirement for corroboration in criminal cases.

Such bodies include those active in areas specifically excluded from the competence of ESS in relation to climate targets (the UK CCC as noted above), environmental information (the Scottish Information Commissioner) and finance (Audit Scotland). The Committee considers that relations with these bodies should also be included in the Strategy and in Schedule 2 of the bill.
