Research work undertaken by the University of Edinburgh and Marie Curie in 2019 found that on average 69% of people had a KIS in place at time of death.
This work is being taken forward by NHS Lothian and is supported by the City of Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership, and by Marie Curie. Extensive preparatory work is required to conduct this study and this is underway.
