In 2017 the Cabinet Secretary announced an additional £3 million for a further increase in the number of radiology trainees in Scotland by at least another 50 by 2022. We are investing £4m in the Scottish Radiology Transformation Programme to improve diagnostic imaging capacity across Scotland, and improve IT connectivity.
As advised within the answer to S5W-21383, we expect to have over 800 additional mental health workers within the key settings of this commitment by 2022. However it should be noted that the planning around workforce is evolving and can change for a variety of reasons.

Finally, Action 40 of the Strategy commits to carry out a full progress review in 2022, the halfway point of the Strategy, to ensure that lessons are learnt from actions to that point.
The head of technology at Lloyds Banking Group mentioned to me last week that it is now working on the basis that it needs to retrain its tech people every nine to 12 months.
