I do not recall whether it was this committee or the Finance Committee—probably both—but members have requested that the format for accounts be standardised so that it is obvious to lay people what is in them.
The Executive has explained that the purpose of the provision is to allow leeway in the submitting of applications to take account of exceptional circumstances. However, the circumstances do appear to be strange, particularly the reference to the three-week period.
