To ask the Scottish Executive when it will announce its policy on the availability through general practitioner prescription of nicotine replacement therapy, following the conclusion in January 2001 of the consultation exercise. I announced on 14 March that nicotine replacement therapy will be available on NHS prescription from April 2001.

Last month we announced an increase in our target for the number of affordable houses to be built in the three years to March 2002. We will now fund the construction of 20,000 new and improved homes in rural and urban areas across Scotland.
