To ask the Scottish Executive whether it considers that funding made available to finance core path planning by local authorities is adequate, given that the core path planning process which is due to be completed by 2008 has not started in approximately 50% of the Perth and Kinross Council area and that funding for one of the council’s Access Officer posts is due to end in March 2007. Drawing up a plan of core pathsby February 2008 is a statutory obligation for local authorities under the LandReform (Scotland) Act 2003.

Under current spending plans,the budget for the Fund rises from £1 million in 2006-07 in 2006-07 to £2 millionin 2007-08.
