Against that background, I am prepared to seek to withdraw the amendment.There are requirements in the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 and other legislative arrangements for the views of young people to be taken into account. The Government should bear that in mind in the future and deal with the spirit and the letter of the proposal in that regard.
