To ask the Scottish Government what discussions it has had with The Highland Council regarding future financial support for the Corran Ferry. The Ferries Plan (2013 – 2022) indicated that the Scottish Government is willing to assume responsibility for all lifeline ferry services in Scotland, including those operated by local authorities.

I will not go right back to the beginning, but there was a full-scale public consultation on the future of national parks in Scotland in 2022. The Government then asked NatureScot to give more detailed advice on the approach to selecting new national parks, which included two further rounds of public consultation.
