Of course, in its desperation, the Scottish Government is clinging to an analysis by Professor Leslie Young—although I have to say that his analysis uses the phrase, “tight fiscal union” and also paints an alarming picture of the situation that would prevail if we had a monetary union, in which there would have to be a migration of the banks. He says that there would be a “slow-motion bank run” on Scottish banks as people shifted their deposits to English banks.

The Scottish Government's Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband programme is aiming to deliver fibre broadband to around 1,800 homes and businesses served from the Ladybank exchange. To date, over 800 premises have already been enabled with the remainder to follow between now and the end of the programme in 2017.
