If the Presiding Officer wishes to postpone for a reason related to Coronavirus, he must be satisfied that the Parliament could not meet safely to legislate to change the date of the Poll. As such we recognise that the provision is unlikely to be invoked given the ability for the Parliament to meet virtually.
