The following table shows the number of substantive staff still to be assimilated, the number of bank staff still to be assimilated and the number of staff who have been assimilated but are still waiting for payment of arrears.
It is clear that that work, along with positive media coverage of women’s elite sport, has been instrumental in creating change. A 2022 Women’s Sport Trust report showed that 36.1 million people watched women’s sport on television between January and July 2022.
As I said, a number of pieces of work are under way, but possibly under a different badge or for a different purpose. There is already a good bank of work there, and we would look to build on that in developing the national strategy for research and data.

In May, Education Scotland launched Scotland Learns ; a resource bank of straightforward, open-ended learning activities which are challenging, and that develop children’s and young people’s independence in learning.
