Advisers and other services 15 (1) The Commissioner may obtain advice, assistance or any other service from any person 30 who, in the opinion of the Commissioner, is qualified to give it. (2) The Commissioner may pay to that person such fees and allowances as the Commissioner determines. (3) Any payment under sub-paragraph (2) is subject to the approval of the Parliamentary corporation. 12 Commissioner for Older People (Scotland) Bill Schedule 1—The office of the Commissioner for Older People in Scotland Part 5—Accounts and accountability Staff pensions 16 (1) The Commissioner may, with the approval of the Parliamentary corporation, pay or make arrangements for the payment of pensions, allowances and gratuities to, or in respect of, any individual who is or has been a member of staff of the Commissioner. 5 (2) Those arrangements may include— (a) making payments towards the provision of those pensions, allowances and gratuities, (b) providing and maintaining schemes for the payment of those pensions, allowances and gratuities. 10 (3) The reference in sub-paragraph (1) to pensions, allowances and gratuities includes 1 pensions, allowances and gratuities by way of compensation for loss of office.
