In relation to PE490, part 3 of the bill seeks to increase the terms of imprisonment for the possession and distribution of indecent photographs of children, and seeks to widen the scope of the extended sentences that are available for sexual and violent offenders who are convicted of abduction.It is suggested that we refer the petition to the Justice 2 Committee, to be taken into account as part of that committee's consideration of the Criminal Justice (Scotland) Bill.
