I take the opportunity to once again call on UK Government ministers to do the right thing by reversing its planned £20 cut to universal credit, to avoid pushing a further 20,000 children in Scotland into poverty.

In the spirit of the constructive relationship we have developed with the Faroese Government, I met with the Faroese Fisheries Minister on 11 July to discuss this matter, and to reaffirm Scotland’s strong position. S6W-11623
Successive UK Governments have squandered Scotland’s oil and gas resources, and that must not be allowed to happen again with Scotland’s renewable resources.
