Notably, ● Scotland did not achieve Good Environmental Status by 2020, and notably it failed to prevent loss of biogenic habitats (such as seagrass, maerl beds or serpulid reefs) in the decade 2010 - 2020. ● Scotland failed its Sustainable Development Goal, to end overfishing by 2020 ● Employment in the fishing industry has declined year on year Action is needed to address this ongoing loss and meet legal duties faced by Scottish Ministers.
