A Scottish Government official confirmed that the points raised by the Law Society had been considered before finalising the code of practice.
In relation to accessibility, the official explained that the Law Society's suggestion that the code should be available in different languages and formats had not been accepted because the code was for use primarily by constables.
As well as how it is being currently implemented, and issues of parents and professionals still not understanding the right to deferral. There will be a Parliamentary Reception to celebrate the campaign in January 2024.
Approaching the end of 2022, the group discussed the possibility of th hosting a Parliamentary Reception to mark the 150 anniversary of the founding of the SFA.
Agenda item 4 Any other business – it was noted that a parliamentary reception was being organised to mark 10 years of Scotland being a Fair Trade Nation in 2023 which would be held on the evening of 24 May.
