Stage 1 report on the Welfare of Dogs (Scotland) Bill - Requirement for code of practice to be made within six months of Royal Assent
The Committee agrees with the Minister that the requirement for a code to be made within six months of Royal Assent is impractical and, given the value of a consultation to inform a code, unlikely to result in a well-drafted code which is fit for purpose.?
