(S1O-6703) In a parliamentary answer to Alasdair Morrison on 20 March, I announced that Loganair had been awarded the contract for the Barra to Glasgow air service for 2003-04 and that we would tender a new contract from April 2004 to March 2006.
The Subordinate Legislation Committee draws that information to our attention.The latest date for the Health and Community Care Committee to report on the regulations is 10 March. If members want to debate the regulations, we could so on 4 March.
The review will be published in the first half of March and the Deputy First Minister will make a public statement on our initial reaction to it before the end of March.
If the Education, Culture and Sport Committee has not dealt with the petition by March, could not the new education committee after the election address it?

We asked the Executive for its comments and—at our meeting on 12 March—decided that the Executive's response addressed the issues that were raised in the petition and explained how current policies apply.
