More regular communication from the Scottish Prison Service will avoid the person receiving an unexpected letter about the parole or release of a prisoner and will also ensure that address details are kept up to date.
The subsections suggest what provisions the scheme might make in relation to aspects such as:
cut off date for applications
evidence to be provided for reimbursement
what if an application is refused – review process
amount of reimbursement payments
appointment of a person to administer the scheme on the Scottish Minsters’ behalf
