When Covid struck we made quick progress, compared to some other places, in bringing in automated ways of communicating internally and with the outside world, but there was still a bit of a delay with patients being able to engage with their clinical teams remotely if they could not meet in person on site.

Our other proposal is that more could be done through automated teller machines. Link Scheme Holdings is not enthusiastic about that, but it could be mandated to provide more services at ATMs, for example the facility to deposit cash.
We also went to Hamburg and saw the port there, which is nearly all automated. Hamburg is extremely important to the UK and Scotland because so many goods go through it.
I agree with that general point. The more automation there is, the more we can increase uptake and ensure that people get the benefits to which they are entitled.
