The guidance sets out steps that should be taken where families or friends are permitted to visit their loved one, and it refers to guiding principles produced by the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh, the Scottish Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, Marie Curie and Scottish Care on visiting at end of life.
