One I like, which I thought I would read, is part of Jesus’s prayer in John, chapter 17, verse 3:“Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”Jesus was emphasising the fact that a relationship is our highest aim in the Christian faith: to know God as our father. The Bible shows us how we should live when we have that relationship. Another misunderstanding of the Bible is that God in the Old Testament is very harsh but in the New Testament is somehow different and more loving.
