We have been negotiating with the Law Society for years to try to find a method of determining an area of expertise of a solicitor—it must be about 10 years. More. We have been trying to produce indicators so that CAB can refer a client to a solicitor who has experience in a specific area of law, but we have got nowhere with that.

Overall, railway performance in Scotland is a bit disappointing. We have asked the industry to produce plans to address that and we will have a session with the industry in the next few days to find out how it is doing that.
