Because chance still plays such a big part in getting support, far too many cancer patients are still missing out.I hope that the Minister for Public Health will be able to support my proposal that a person be given information about the service or, with their consent, be automatically referred for information and advice at the very point at which they are diagnosed with cancer. The best way of achieving that would be to embed this type of service in the forthcoming cancer strategy and to make it a part of the patient's journey.
