Until the pandemic strain is identified it will not be possible to produce a vaccine. However, the Scottish Executive is working closely with the UK Health Departments to ensure that all necessary preparations are in place to facilitate vaccine production when that becomes necessary.

The Scottish Executive's first annual Greening Government report Our Impact on the Environment published in December 2001 summarised the environmental performance of the Executive as a whole. There are no plans to produce annual Greening Government reports from each of its departments.

The Child Health Support Group has made considerable progress in the year and a half since it was formed. It has produced a national Template for Child Health Services and is currently planning a conference on child health, to take place on 27 February.
