I reiterate that I should be happy to meet David Mundell and other MSPs from the area to discuss the matter. At the moment papers are being produced for discussion across ministerial areas that will address many of the concerns that have been raised.
Ian Jenkins and I were talking earlier and neither of us knew that peanuts were produced in Egypt; we had assumed that they came from elsewhere in Africa.
I advise the minister that West of Scotland Water has changed summarily the supply of water to Moffat, producing a water supply that carries with it an unattractive and unpleasant residue.
A support group of senior managers and professionals was established to assess progress and to share good practice. An interim report was produced in August and a final report, which will set out models for achieving change, is due shortly.

To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has any plans to introduce a statutory requirement for local authorities to produce a local transport strategy. No.
We seem to feel that that research should consider statutory requirement for public consultation in advance of the production of an EIA, the weight that is given to evidence produced by SNH and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency and the role that the EIA has in influencing the decisions of planning committees.
