The Committee then took evidence from the Minister and supporting officials on both instruments at its meeting on 26 March 2024.
In an opening statement, the Minister set out the purpose and objective of the instruments - stating that MUP is an important part of the Scottish Government's approach to reduce alcohol related harms.

Adult mental health - Primary care mental health services

The AGS/AC report stated that the Scottish Government has committed to ensuring that every GP practice has access to a mental health and wellbeing service by 2026. As at March 2022, 45% of GP practices across Scotland reported having full access to mental health workers while 66% reported having full access to community link workers.
