National Parliaments—or, in the case of the United Kingdom, the supra-national Westminster Parliament—are now expected to take into account our views in Holyrood as well as those of our colleagues in Cardiff and Belfast.
That is not good for holding people accountable for their actions. Paradoxically, I would argue that we should take longer for questions but allow more supplementaries—not just a second supplementary but possibly a third and a fourth if that is what is required to tease out a specific issue.
